Participants in this course will have the opportunity to gain and/or verify a broad range of competencies associated with driving emergency vehicles. These competencies include basic understanding of emergency vehicle operations as well as the skills necessary for practical operation. The course is designed to present the necessary classroom experiences and competency course training. This course will consist of classroom Friday night and Saturday morning, after that students will be given a scheduled time to drive the competency course. Saturday and Sunday times will depend on the time for the student’s driving the course, students will complete at various times.
Prerequisite: Paid or Volunteer EMT or FF w/Proof of Workers Comp coverage or waiver and a valid Driver’s License.
Students are encouraged to bring a dept. vehicle but it is not required

If for some reason you cannot attend the course that you have registered for, you shall submit in written form the reason that you will not be able to attend the course, have your department chief or training officer sign the letter and submit this to the North Idaho Chiefs Association a.s.a.p. The North Idaho Chief’s Association shall review each letter and make the determination to refund the registration fee or not.
